DD&B pulls all required Baldwin County building permits and schedules every inspection. Permit costs are included in the quoted price. We meet the inspector on site so you do not have to take time off work.

Are your pool builders licensed and insured?

DD&B holds GC Pool License #59686 and Home Builder License #27417 in the state of Alabama. We carry full general liability and workers’ compensation coverage on every project. We bring proof of insurance to every job site.

Can you build a pool and home together?

Yes. DD&B is one of the only contractors in Baldwin County licensed to build both custom homes and pools under one contract. Building them together saves time, reduces cost, and ensures the pool and home share a coordinated design.

What type of pool is best for Gulf Shores soil?

Gulf Shores sits on sandy coastal soil with a water table that can be as shallow as 3 to 5 feet. Gunite pools handle these conditions well because the shell is poured in place and engineered for the specific soil. Fiberglass pools also work with proper bedding and backfill. What brands of pool equipment do you install?

We install equipment from Pentair and Hayward, including variable-speed pumps, salt chlorine generators, pool heaters, LED lighting systems, and automation controllers. All equipment carries the manufacturer’s factory warranty.

Can you add a pool to an existing home?

Absolutely. Most of our pool builds are additions to existing homes. We assess your backyard layout, setback requirements, utility locations, and access for equipment during the free on-site consultation.
